Creating on the Wheel: Beginner and Beyond

July 8 – Aug 26, 2026 (Class is full, waitlist available)

Sept 30 – Nov 18, 2026 (Class is Full, waitlist available)

Wednesday evenings 6:00 – 8:30 pm

Adults (and teens ages 16+) 8 week session with 2.5 hour class

$400 includes materials*

Try the potter’s wheel for the first time or get more practice with the basics of bowls, cups and plates. This is a very accommodating class with lots of demonstrations and individual instruction. The emphasis of the class will be on functional pottery using high-fired stoneware and glazes. Total beginners are welcome! Students often repeat this class several times.

Intermediate Wheel

July 7 – Aug 25, 2026 (Two spots available)

Tuesday evenings 6:00 – 8:30 pm

Adults (and teens ages 16+)

$425 includes materials*

Take your skills to the next level with more advanced demonstrations. Small class size allows for lots of individual instruction and goal setting. Learn to make sets, lidded jars, teapots, and improve handles and glazing skills.

*Some large projects may require additional material or firing fees

Hand-building for Beginner / mixed level

Sept 29 – Nov 17, 2026 (Class is Full, waitlist available)

Tuesday evenings 6:00 – 8:30 pm

$400 includes materials*

Explore many different hand-building techniques to construct functional or sculptural pieces. Weekly demonstrations will inspire new projects or come with a specific goal in mind – such as a planter, mobile, desk caddy, or candle holder. The possibilities are endless! Small class size allows for individual attention and positive outcomes. This class is appropriate for beginners or those with some clay experience already.

Pottery Class for Two

$225 Private class for two adults (includes materials, firing fees, and a few finished pots!)*

Friday or Saturday evenings 6:00-8:00 pm or many prefer 4:00-6:00 pm and do dinner after. Days and times are fairly flexible…just get in touch. Sunday afternoons are also an option.

Available for two adults to have a fun night out playing with clay and working on the wheel together. Good times guaranteed! Finished pots will be available for pick-up at a later date (within 3-4 weeks), or shipping may be arranged.

Thrown & Altered Weekend Workshop -
with Tiffany Hilton

August 15 & 16, 2026

Two-day demonstration and hands-on workshop

Saturday 10-5, Sunday 10-4

$295

Play with altering wheel thrown pots at different stages to create oval or squared forms. We will combine wheel thrown elements with slabs to make vessels, functional serving pieces, and lidded jars. Basic wheel throwing and hand-building skills helpful. More experienced students can play with larger forms and further explore lidded jars and casseroles. Handles, surface decoration and composition will also be explored. Students will work with stoneware (cone 6-10) and should bring packing materials to take home their greenware pieces. Firing not included. Maximum 8 students.
